1. Introduction
Welcome to The Bloom Lab by Rachel!* These Terms and Conditions govern your purchase and use of our handmade products. By placing an order or using our website, you agree to abide by these terms. Please read them carefully.

2. Definitions
“Products / pieces / items”: Refers to the handmade goods offered for sale by The Bloom Lab.
“Customer”: Refers to any individual or entity who purchases our products.
3. Products and Orders
Description: All Products are handmade and have a unique look upon completion. No items are the same.
Pricing: Prices are listed in our price list provided to the customer. Pricing does not include flowers from our studio. Flowers are to be supplied by the customer. The Bloom Lab reserves the right to adjust the price list any time without involving the customer. The price is not locked in unless booking is made by customer.
Booking Confirmation: Once the deposit or balance is paid, we will confirm your booking. No booking is secured if payment is not received.
In cases where the customer has placed a $100 deposit, the deposit only secures the preservation spot for flowers to be dropped off and does not lock in the prices. Prices can only be locked in if the customers have confirmed the pieces and 50% / full balance has been paid for the pieces outlined in the invoice. If there has been any change in prices, The Bloom Lab reserves the right to invoice using the current price at the time of booking.
4. Payment
Methods: We accept bank transfers upon issuance of the invoice.
Billing:
Orders placed more than 2 weeks before the event date (e.g., wedding, birthday) require a 50% deposit to secure the booking immediately upon issuance of the invoice. The remaining 50% is due 1 week before the event date.
Orders placed within 2 weeks of the event require full payment immediately upon issuance of the invoice. A 10% late fee will be added to the total balance. If a discount is available, the 10% surcharge will be applied first before the discount can be applied.
If payment is not received, the order may be canceled. The casting process will not begin until the final balance is received.
For customers who need more time to decide on the items, a $100 non-refundable deposit is required to secure the date. The balance will be calculated once the customer has made the final choice with the $100 deposit deducted from the total. Pieces must be decided upon before flower drop-off to ensure we can start preserving the flowers as soon as they arrive at our studio without delay. The deposit only locks in the date for flower drop off, not the price of our pieces. Prices are only locked for the pieces outlined in the invoice if 50% / full balance is paid. In cases where additional pieces are added, The Bloom Lab reserves the right to charge the current price at the time the order is modified.
Our booking is a first come first serve basis and we do not hold spots. A booking is not secured until the deposit is made (full payment for last minute orders).
5. Shipping and Delivery
Processing Time:
Orders with one or more main pieces take approximately 7 months to complete.
Orders with only add-on pieces take approximately 6 months to complete.
Processing time may vary depending on weather conditions. As our products are made using resin, extreme weather (e.g., too hot, too cold, or too humid) can affect how the resin sets. If the weather prevents proper hardening, processing time will be extended.
Occasionally, additional touch-ups may be needed after removing pieces from their molds and applying the top coat. If this occurs, extra time will be spent correcting details to ensure the final product meets our standards before shipping or arranging a pickup.
Processing time may also be extended for larger orders. This will be communicated upon invoicing.

Shipping Costs: Shipping costs are calculated based on your location and the weight of the finished products. A quote will be obtained from Australia Post and provided to the customer upon completion of the order. Payment for postage needs to be made by the customer before the goods are shipped out.

Pick-up Time Arrangement: Upon completion, customers may choose a time from our available time slots to pick up their order from our studio in Casula 2170. Pick-up time slots are limited and may vary based on our production schedule.
6. Sending Flowers to Us
Studio Drop-off: Local drop-off is available at our Casula studio or Bonnyrigg location free of charge. The drop-off location will depend on the date to ensure we have someone at the property to accept your flowers.
Sending via Express Post: Typically delivered within 2-3 days. The customer covers the cost and is responsible for packing the flowers. We are not liable for any damage to the flowers if they are not packed properly to retain freshness.
Courier Pick-up: Arranged upon discussion. We will provide a quote, and the balance must be paid to secure the booking. We reserve the right to refuse flowers if they arrive in a condition unsuitable for preservation.
7. Returns and Exchanges
Policy: Due to the nature of handmade products, we do not accept returns or exchanges. Each item is unique and finished by hand. Please understand that imperfections are inherent in handmade goods.
8. Intellectual Property
All designs, images, and content related to our products are the intellectual property of The Bloom Lab and may not be used without permission. We reserve the right to take photos of the final products and post them on our website, Instagram, and Facebook page without obtaining customers permission. The photos may also be used for promotional purposes.
9. Privacy and Data Protection
Data Collection: We collect personal information to process orders and improve our services.
Data Use: Your information is used solely for transaction purposes and to communicate with you about your order.
10. Changes to Orders After Booking
Other changes to the order except for order cancellation
We understand that you might wish to make changes to your order after booking. In this case, we will re-quote the order and confirm the balance payable if the final quote is higher than the previous one. If the new quote is lower, you may add additional items to your order to make up the difference. Otherwise, the remaining balance will be applied as store credit valid for 12 months.
The Bloom Lab reserves the right to charge the current price on additional pieces if they are not initially booked in by the customer at the time the new pieces are added.
If a discount has been applied to the initial order, we reserve the right to adjust (increase / decrease) the discount balance if changes are made to the preservation.
Changes to the preservation must be communicated and agreed upon by The Bloom Lab before the flower drop off date.
Order cancellation:
In cases where customers would like to cancel the preservation after booking in:
For customers who have paid 50% of the balance, $100 of the total balance will not be refunded.
For customers who have paid only $100 to secure the preservation date, the $100 paid will not be refunded.
This policy ensures that the time and resources allocated for the order are covered. Customers are encouraged to carefully consider their decision before finalising their purchase to avoid any loss of the deposit.
11. Nature of Handmade Resin Products
All flowers may react differently during the preservation process, potentially resulting in changes in colour, thickness, or shape. We take great care in preserving your flowers but cannot guarantee that they will remain exactly the same in colour and shape when cast in resin. Imperfections such as transparency, colour changes, dust, and air bubbles are expected due to the nature of resin products. We will do our best to minimize and correct these imperfections before sending the final products to you.
Resin overtime will turn amber/yellow which is completely normal due to its property of being sensitive to different environmental factors. The Bloom Lab cannot be held accountable for how the items react as we have no control over the temperature, sun exposure, humidity and other environmental factors where the items are being displayed.
12. Size of items chosen
Each resin item has specific dimensions, and customers must select the items that can accommodate the size of the flowers. We cannot fit larger flowers into small items.
The Bloom Lab reserves the right to trim or alter them to ensure a proper fit.
13. The choice of flowers for customer pieces
For all add-on items, The Bloom Lab reserves the right to choose the flowers that will compliment the items without approval from the customer.
For main pieces, design approval can be provided upon discussion in terms of flower placement. If there are particular flowers from the provided flowers that the customer would like to be featured, this needs to be communicated upon booking.
14. Quality of flowers provided
Flowers provided by customers must be in a preservable condition, as the quality of the flower directly impacts the final appearance of the resin item.
We are not responsible for any discoloration or degradation of flowers that may occur naturally over time once encapsulated in resin.
It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that the flowers provided are in a preservable condition until it is delivered to our studio.
15. Damaged goods upon receiving
Customers are to check the orders received and notify The Bloom Lab if there’s any issues immediately. We require photos and details of the products to verify the damages within 24 hours in order to take action.
